Well there's really not that much to say about me. I'm a software developer (isn't everyone these days) who also dabbles (when I get the chance) in travel, writing, snow boarding, amateur dramatics and whatever else anyone can suggest.

During a quiet summer (when the sun shone gloriously over the sandy beaches in the South of England) I chose to stop work for a few months, a wondrous idea that I'm pleased I went through with. In those long summer evenings, when I had little to do, I celebrated life with a bottle of wine whilst simultaneously writing this record of my exploits - and it shows sometimes.

In years to come I'm hoping to save an awful lot of time and small talk by simply referring new friends and acquaintances to this site for 'more details'...
